Stately Wayne Manor is the familial estate of Bruce Wayne. Built by Judge Solomon Wayne in the late 1880s the architecture of the building falls squarely into late Gothic Revival. Large and imposing the home is located on the mainland of Gotham City overlooking the water on a series of steep cliffs. Situated on nearly 100 acres of land the property largely woodland with only a relatively small 5 acres dedicated to the house and grounds.
At well over fifty rooms Wayne Manor is large even by the standards of wealthy industrialists. While much of the manor is left unused the kitchen and bedrooms are well kept by Bruce Wayne’s personal butler Alfred Pennyworth and a contracted maintenance company keep the gardens and grounds kept in excellent condition year round.
Beneath the Wayne Manor lies Batman’s refuge and crime fighting headquarters colloquially referred to as the Batcave. Accessed via a clock in Doctor Thomas Wayne’s (the father of the current eponymous owner of Wayne Manor) unused study. The cave holds CNC machines, a full garage to maintain the Batmobile as well training and medical facilities. It also has exterior access to allow the Batmobile covert access to the cave.
